Waterhaul Wins ‘Entrepreneur for Good’ Award

5 November 2019

Founder and CEO of Waterhaul, Harry Dennis, won the 2019 South West Great British Entrepreneur Award for the ‘Entrepreneur for Good’ category.

The Cornish Entrepreneur, based at Porthtowan, was awarded the title for his role in recovering plastic from Cornwall’s coastline and recycling it into high-quality sunglasses.

Acceleration Through Innovation (ATI) have been working with Waterhaul on their latest innovation project, which is top secret at this stage! However, Chris Hassall, Harry’s dedicated Business Innovation Advisor had the following to say:

“I’ve really enjoyed working with Harry, especially helping him to develop the business case in order to maximise the value of his existing products. ATI have also assisted with product feasibility and introduced him to our business support network, whom he will really benefit from working with – I can’t wait to see what’s next for him and the business!”

Harry could not afford to attend the regional finals which took place in Exeter (24th November) and caught whiff of his winnings rather belatedly – but he is delighted nonetheless!

The National Gala Final is set to take place in London on the 21th November 2019 and we wish Harry every success.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, sponsored by NatWest, celebrates the dedication and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs across the UK, regardless of turnover or business size.
